After some deliberation, I decided to head north on this day. A late start meant that the anticipated showers were already developing to the west. That part of the sky did not look friendly!
Every cloud, however… The sinking air within the showers had to come up again somewhere, and along the leading edge of the bank of showers there was plenty of lift, and I was able to cruise along without issue. I chickened out and turned back somewhere north of Peterborough, when I decided that the showers were about to cut off my retreat – and just got the glider back in the trailer before the rain started in earnest.
