As we approach the tail end of the soaring season this August, the skies over our airfield are still buzzing with activity. While some might think the season is winding down, it’s clear that the passion for flying is as strong as ever, with two of our newest pilots achieving a significant milestone.
This month, Harry and Till both took to the skies solo for the very first time—a moment every pilot remembers for the rest of their life. Under the watchful eye and expert guidance of our experienced instructors, these two aviators proved they were ready to spread their wings.
Till was given the green light to go solo by Steve Phillips, who has been a teacher and mentor to many new pilots over the years. Meanwhile, Harry was sent solo by Andy Beatty, another seasoned instructor and experienced pilot.
Congratulations to Harry and Till for reaching this important milestone in their flying careers! As the season begins to wind down, their achievements serve as a reminder that there’s no time limit on the excitement and fulfilment that come with mastering the skies.
Keep soaring, and we look forward to seeing where your flying adventures take you next!
