I had a day to kill so thought i would drive up to East Anglia for a spot of plane spotting.
Exercise Joint Warrior 24/1 was being run so i was pretty much guaranteed to see some fast jet action. I checked the NOTAMS several days before.
RAF and USAFE fighters were up over the North Sea taking fuel from their tankers and dog fighting. ADSB showed their positions as they manoeuvred around each other with an AWACS up controlling them.
There was an aircraft carrier out there somewhere as the callsigns used by RN F35Bs could be heard on the UHF military frequencies.
WIth the day drawing to an end the fighters retuned to their to bases for tea and medals.
